With Our Full-immersion Fine Art Photography Mentorship
you will learn all things business + photography. This mentorship is hands-on, with one-on-one editing, workflows, pricing, seo, client communication, branding education and portfolio review, plus shooting & directing, tutoring in light, gear, timeline management, work-life balance, and most importantly, how to run an efficient and self-sustaining photography business.
What's included in our Photography Mentorship
1.) Start off with a video phone call that sets you up with all the initial knowledge you'll need for a successful photo shoot. We share all the communication we have with our clients before their sessions, including our exclusive style guide, email templates, and all the perks we include in our client packages.
2.) Join us on a real engagement or senior session! You will shoot side by side with us and we will explain all the WHY behind everything we do and say! We will mentor you through our posing system, how to capture genuine happiness and confidence, how to completely win over your clients, how to find the best light, background tricks, and more!
3.) Headshots of you! Matt and I will take your pictures so you will get an even better idea of what it's like to experience our way of doing things! These pictures will show your personality, professionally represent your brand and be perfect for your website and social media profile pictures!
4.) Come to our in-home studio for a full day of culling and editing education with lunch included! Together we'll cull and edit the session we shot together. We'll hold nothing back here as we give you our personal preset that is like nothing you've seen before! We have invested the most time and education into our editing style. We love the light and airy look, but hate how most wedding photographers lose the richness and vibrance of their photos when they edit that way. We have developed a secret way to get the best of everything and we'll show you EXACTLY how we do it!
5.) Join us at our home again, or visit over video messaging for a 2 hour business call. We'll teach you everything about websites, SEO, Instagram, financial, marketing, ads, software and equipment questions, and more!
6.) Join us on a real wedding day! Not only will you get all our pre wedding communications, email templates, wedding day timelines, package details, gift ideas, and prep guide, but then you'll also be with us for an entire day of on the job training! You'll see how we proactively keep stress levels down, keep the timeline on track, love on the full wedding party from bride and groom, to parents, to impatient groomsmen and guests! You'll see how we ensure getting referrals to upcoming weddings while shooting the current one. How we serve the other vendors, and never miss a single picture worthy moment (including some major emotion filled shots that almost every other photographer doesn't even think about!) You'll learn flash and reception lighting techniques and how to get the best sparkler shots!
7.) Follow up video call to answer any questions that come up and propel you into making your own business take off! We'll basically be best friends by this point! You'll have a number one fan in us and we'll continue to stay closely invested in you and your business' success!
-Our workflow from start to finish
-Prepping for a shoot: must learn habits, checklist and pre-shoot client communication (i.e weather report, style tips and session guide, clothing/colors etc.)
-Shooting: mastering manual, using reflectors and finding natural reflectors,, composing images in camera, lighting (and how to find light anywhere), rule of thirds, using an expo disc for flawless white balance every time, discovering how backgrounds influence final images, how to tell a story with your images and much more!
-Posing- next to our editing, posing is where we've put a lot of effort in to make our business stand out! We will teach your our posing system that guarantees you'll never run out of posing ideas. You'll learn how to flatter EVERY body, pull beaming confidence out of even the shyest people, and get magazine worthy pictures, all while maintaining a natural feel!
-Editing: Giving you our secret preset, or helping you create one that is custom to your business + brand, how to have post-production consistency
